∴ First Impressions

VISUAL: He looks like a nerd if a nerd happened to be a Turtle. Don's a bit more lanky than his brothers, but looks chunky next to most humans and is fairly heavily muscled. He has really faint markings since I headcanon him as a ghost colour morph. His shell has a lot of shallow scars on it.
FASHION: Every time he puts clothes on, he tends to look like a disaster. As a rule, he doesn't tend to wear clothing unless it's functionally necessary, like his belts and pads. His mask is the one exception, which he is attached to; he sometimes even wears it while he sleeps.
DEMEANOUR: Don's attentive when he's talking to people, though by himself might come off as distracted or just deeply thoughtful. He keeps to himself but doesn't seem cold about it. There's an ease to his body language that suggests that he is well-trained physically. Can get outright dorky when he's working on a project.
AURAL: Sort of a mid-ranged voice, with a lot of inflection when he's excited about something. He primarily speaks English, and while he uses more technical language than his brothers he slangs it up all the time. He can also speak Japanese, though it will sound noticeably pidgin to anyone who recognizes Japanese structure, and has a decent enough knowledge of other languages like Italian and Latin to muddle through text.
OLFACTORY: Luckily for everyone around him, Don doesn't smell like a sewer. He often smells a little sterile after working in the labs, or he'll have the odor of axle grease and other machine oils if he's tinkering. Otherwise he tries to keep himself clean, so in Subnautica that means smelling like seaweed.
MENTAL INFORMATION: He thinks a mile a minute, and canonically has such a powerful will that he broke a machine designed to pick through peoples' brains (though he had some help from his sensei for that). He doesn't have any supernatural skills to avoid mental detection, though, so he can probably still be mind-read. He'll hate that.
MAGICAL INFORMATION: Don is a mutant, but this doesn't give him many inherent powers by itself. He does, however, have some spiritual abilities; he can work with chi, a substance common to everything alive in his universe, and can manipulate it via the astral plane or with devices like a medallion he received in Season 5. Without that medallion, he's limited to low-key interactions like slowing his own breathing and heart rate down, barring unusual circumstances; if for any reason he gets to channel higher levels of chi, it does some interesting things to him, visually.

BACKTAGGING: I will backtag forever and a century, so I have no problems here. o/
FOURTHWALLING: Honestly, I find this amazing. Most people who can fourth-wall Don will do so with the wrong canon, namely the 1987 Fred Wolf cartoon, and the inconsistencies of it will confuse Don greatly. ~~If I ever canon-update him to Turtles Forever it will suddenly make sense.~~ So yeah, go right ahead, freak Don out!
PHYSICAL AFFECTION: This poor Turtle is not super-used to physical affection, and it will weird him out a bit, but he won't fight or anything. He'll probably just push people away if he doesn't want it, or awkwardly back off. Kissing him if he doesn't know you will be a very shocking experience. I'm not against it at all, though! Let me know if you're interested.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Don is a ninja. He can definitely hold his own in a fight and will defend himself if he's attacked, though he will try to reason with a violent person first. Definitely let me know if your character might inflict serious injury! Don may be built like a tank but he's not invincible.
RELATIONSHIPS: I am 100% cool with shipping Don, but I think it would be difficult to put him in that situation. He's not used to romantic interaction at all and would probably misread any signals that way. If for some reason you'd like to explore this, let me know!
